Sentosa Merlion

Loves: The souvenir prosperity coin that comes with every ticket.

Our Advice: Remember to chime the Prosperity Bell and make a wish!

Quick question: What is the one enduring image, the one icon that spells Singapore. If you guessed the Merlion, a half-lion and half-fish mythical creature, then you guessed correct.

The Merlion is said to come by the island of Sentosa each year and once fought off a violent storm to protect Singapore. At a towering height of 37 metres and facing the mainland, the Sentosa Merlion is likened as a guardian watching over Singapore.

Unlike the other Merlion statues of Singapore, you can set foot in the mouth of the Sentosa Merlion and climb to its crown to capture the 360° view.
