Loves: Feeding the colourful and friendly Lories and Lorikeets (best to visit in the mornings and late afternoons).
Our Advice: You can purchase the ParkHopper specials to enjoy multi-park savings and explore up to 4 wildlife parks*!
*note that the location of this wildlife park is further from the three wildlife parks at Mandai, so travelling time (30 mins by taxi) must be taken into account.
The first thing that you will experience in the Jurong Bird Park is the sweet sounds of the different birds that fill the air. Jurong Bird Park is Asia’s largest bird park located at the western slope of Jurong Hill in Boon Lay, Singapore. As an exclusive enclave to the aviary species, you will only find birds and more birds as you explore the park – 5000 birds of 400 species, out of which 29 are threatened species.
The park is segregated into sections that host birds from the diverse continents such as Africa right up to Antarctica. The park’s largest walk-in aviary of 600 birds with a 30m high waterfall is the Waterfall Aviary. The 9-storey high Lory Loft is the world’s largest Lory flight aviary at 3000 square metre. There are also the Penguin Coast housing five species of penguins, the Pelican Cove with seven species of pelicans and the World of Darkness for nocturnal birds like night herons and snowy owls.
Visitors can feed the birds at selected exhibits or watch the High Flyers Show featuring the talents of some birds and children can also enjoy themselves at the wet and dry playzones of the bird-themed playground, Birdz of Play.
